Obituary of Lincoln Algernon BOODHAN

December 1, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Lincoln Algernon Boodhan, beloved husband of Paula Boodhan (nee Sanchez-Ordaz), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

Lincoln was born in Trinidad, West Indies on July 1, 1933. He immigrated to Canada in 1969. He attended and graduated from SAIT with a degree in Pressure Welding, and received a certificate from SAIT for his B Pressure ticket. Lincoln married Paula Sanchez-Ordaz in June 9, 1957. He was a proud member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 496. Lincoln enjoyed the opportunity that pipefitting gave him to travel; he journeyed across Alberta and the Northern Territories. He loved cricket, weight lifting, and boxing. Lincoln was born to swim in the Ocean, no other body of water could excite him more than swimming laps out in the Ocean. Lincoln’s most memorable vacation was when he visited Mexico in 2013. He will be most remembered for his folklore stories about the West Indies.

Besides his loving wife Paula, Lincoln is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Feroze Mohammed; son Andre Boodhan, grandchildren, Anesse, Nicole, Nadine, Natalie, Stephanie, Jerrone, and Antonia; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
