Jack was a great mentor. I will always appreciate his taking the time to explain his perspective on “the North” when I met him in Hay River in 1968. He was truly inspirational and I wish I had been able to work with him for more than just a few hours.

My sincere condolences to Edie on the passing of Jack. I worked in the office with Jack at Inuvik and again in Yellowknife. He was a dedicated Member of the Force, a real gentleman, and a pleasure to work alongside. He was always jovial and in my opinion, the best CIB reader. If I had known he was back in Calgary I would have visited him at Foothills Hospital as I live close by.
May you Rest In Peace at last Jack.
With deepest sadness I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Hiscock Family. Your beloved father, husband, sibbling and friend will be greatly missed.
Oh my goodness ~ I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. Jack was a favourite uncle; I admired and respected him all my life, and will remember his wonderful relationship and kindnesses to my dad. I hardly know what to say, but I’m thinking of all of you with deep and abiding love and sympathy.
with sincere sympathies and love. I will miss you Uncle Jack and always keep you in my heart. much love to Edie and all of the family ❤️Love Dianne and Natalie Quan
Jack was truly one of the best person I’ve had the pleasure of calling a close friend. I have many fond memories during our time in Yellowknife, hunting and fishing trips, many many TGIF at Jack and Eddie’s Home, many New Year’s Eves that poured into breakfast. Several road trips on the Mackenzie highway listening to his experiences in the RCMP (some hilarious) and later great visits in Kelowna and Calgary. Jack was a great influence on my perspective on life… he had a quiet gift that way. I am proud that Jack was my friend.
May I offer to Edie and her family my heartfelt condolences on Jack’s passing.
Larry Todd, Winnipeg.
