Obituary of Gregory Mark ORSER

November 4, 1955 – Woodstock, New Brunswick January 5, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta It is with immense sadness that Greg’s family announces his sudden passing on January 5, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 62 years. Greg was born on November 4, 1955 in Woodstock, NB. He was the son of the late Dr. Gerald (2005) and Pauline (1995) Orser. The family relocated to Fredericton in 1962 where Greg completed his early education. Greg spent memorable summers at the cottage at Davidson Lake. He attended his father’s alma mater, graduating from Dalhousie with a BSc and continuing with a BBA from University of New Brunswick. He met his love Cheryl (Orlando) when he relocated to Calgary and they were both working for Xerox. They married in 1988 and their joy continued with their children, Dr. Lindsay, DDS of Edmonton and Jeff, like his father, studying Business Management at University of Lethbridge. Cheryl (Mumma Bear) predeceased him in 2010. The majority of Greg’s career was spent as General Manager of an architectural sign and wayfinding company in Calgary. He cherished a close knit group of lifelong friends from both Fredericton and Calgary. He is survived by his children, and his sisters Tanya Orser of Dartmouth, Pam (Scott) Harvey of Fredericton and Shelly Delbridge of Kentville and their families; his mother-in-law Anne Orlando; Cheryl’s aunt and uncle Doug and Carol Goodwin and their family. Greg filled every room he entered with his big smile and boisterous laugh, optimistic view on life, and the most joie de vivre anybody ever knew. Greg was everybody’s best friend. He was simply the best.
