Obituary of Ian “Waki” Ryan Clayton HOLLOWAY

February 17, 1955 -    Morley, Alberta
December 26, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Ian was called home by our Creator on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 65 years.

Growing up, Ian was active in rodeo and hunting. He was a strong believer in Stoney traditions and culture.  He will be missed by his family.

Ian is survived by his children, Agnes Abraham (Vince), Eanna Holloway (Chase Ear), Renee Rider, and Austin Rider; grandchildren, Toby, Jovanna, Vince Jr, Dontae, Kdas and Kayden; great-grandchild Rashaun; adopted children, Gabrielle Ear, Vina Hunter, Delane Twoyoungmen and Megan Labelle.  He is also survived by his brothers, Clarence Holloway (Charlene), Patrick Holloway (Lynette), Lionel Labelle; sisters, Margerie Holloway, Corrina Wesley (Lenny), Mary Holloway, Myrna Powderface (Fred), Margaret Rider (Terry), Wanda Beaver (Felix), and their families; aunties Ruby Clara Snow and Sheila Labelle; uncle Horace Holloway and their families; special cousin Gina Labelle; special aunt Olive Holloway; and the extended families from the Daniels, Powderface, Hunter, Labelle, Wesley, Poucette, Simeon, Snow, Twoyoungmen, Mark, Lefthand, Provost, Healy, Gladstone, and Goodstriker families. We apologize if we have missed anyone. 

Ian was predeceased by his parents Charlotte Holloway and Lawrence Labelle; wife Gina Rider; brother Trevor Holloway; sister Myrna Holloway; nephews, Bradley and Justin Holloway; niece Cheyanne Holloway; paternal grandparents, Tom and Elsie Labelle; maternal grandparents Horace and Christine Holloway. 

Funeral Services will be held at the Residence of Eanna Holloway (Morley, Alberta) on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Ian’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
