Condolences
I am so sorry to hear of Jocelyn’s passing and her battle with cancer. We worked together for years at Sport Mart and afterI got my teaching degree I continued working for Sport Mart and was so excited when she went back to school and got her education degree. She was a great friend who always was up for an adventure and who was always such an encouraging person to be around. She was definitely passionate about teaching and taking the students sailing. I was fortunate enough to go to one of the sailing fundraisers she helped out on and she always beamed when talking about students and teaching. Lots of great Sport Mart memories and also memories when she’d come visit and hang out with my son and I. She was great with all kids. She will be missed.
I will miss Ms Wright. She taught me Math and Physical Education at John Ware for 2 years. She really helped me through my struggles, never got the chance to visit when she moved to Louis although I did see her at Wisewood when she came for the open house. She will be missed. Condolences to family and friends.
Ms. Wright was my math teacher at John Ware during 8th grade and like most teachers there, carried an infectious energy. She always believed in me, and in her class were some of my fondest memories of junior high.
My condolences Julie and family for the loss of such a wonderful person. My heart hurts with the news of losing such a great friend." Joc "and I began our friendship at Champ Sports when I met her as a young up and coming manager, I knew after a few weeks that she had special personal skills that were going to make her successful at anything she wanted to do or be. Exhibiting a tireless work ethic, fully dedicated, respectful to everyone and always seeing the glass half full, not to mention an academic who always seemed to know the answer before you could ask her the question? Sue and I always admired how well rounded she was and hoped our daughters (who loved Jocelyn) would aspire to engage like she did. She was a great athlete, and wonderful person to always be around, always going out of her way to help others. I could go on and on, as she left us all with great memories. It is a bittersweet moment shedding tears with the loss of "Joc" but smiling as I remember the great moments we all had with her, as well, picture that never ending smile she always had. We will always remember the good times she gave us.

Ms. Wright taught me mathematics at John Ware the better part of a decade ago, and I was devastated to hear of her passing. She leaves behind a legacy in the hundreds of students like myself upon whom she made a very deep impression, and who would not be where they are today, had it not been for her efforts. She will be missed.
Because of Covid-19, I never got the chance to go back to Louis Riel and visit her a last time. I always thought she deserved more credit from her students. She taught me well, and will be missed.
She was an amazing teacher; I learned so much from her. She will be greatly greatly missed. Rest in peace Ms. Wright :((
Jocelyn taught both of our boys at John Ware and we all have fond memories of her passion for teaching and sailing! She made a genuine connection with our kids and we knew she was invested in their success. We will always appreciate the positive impact she had on both of them.
