Obituary of Kevin (Jimmy) Jamie HUNTER

Kevin (Jimmy) Jamie Hunter has gone home to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

Jimmy was born in Canmore, Alberta, on April 10, 1985. Jimmy enjoyed playing hockey, baseball and volleyball growing up. He had a passion for music. He was talented at playing the drums, bass and guitar. He later became a lead guitarist for the Ozada Flats Church and Daystar Ministry. He enjoyed travelling with the worship team across Canada and western United States.

Jimmy had a strong belief in the Christian faith and he was a born again Believer in Jesus Christ. Jimmy was a member of the Ozada Flats Church ministry as a child and his adult life. He was also a part of the youth ministry and participated in an outreach concert in our community. The Ozada Flats Church organized plays from the Bible and Jimmy was a part of those events. He helped his parents with their first gospel CD in a music recording studio in Calgary. Jimmy loved his family and he did his very best.

Jimmy is survived by his parents, Kevin and Lola Hunter, his wife Jolene Medicine Shield, his children, Persaius, Josiaus, and Emersyn Hunter; adopted children, Dayton, Joely, Grayson, and Emmy Medicineshield; his siblings, Eric (Michelle), Kalena (Lance), Ashely, and Jeremy Hunter; his grandmother Joan Hunter, his aunties, Amy (Calvin) Thunder, Bryleen (Randy) Holloway, Nonie and Janice Twoyoungmen; Lois (Keith) Simeon, John (Zebrina), Jason (Joleen) Patrick, and Winston Twoyoungmen; his nephews, Bobby, Elisha, Reyes; his nieces, Annabelle, Emma, Chyanne, Addison; granddaughter Jazlyn, and in-laws, the Medicine Children. He is also survived by numerous cousins, uncles, and aunties. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Jimmy was predeceased by grandfather Hanson Twoyoungmen, and grandmother Rosanna Twoyoungmen, Aunty Rose Hunter, Uncle Stephan Twoyoungmen.

Wake Services will be held at the Residence of Kevin & Lola Hunter (Morley, AB) on Tuesday, January 5 and Wednesday, January 6, 2020.  

Funeral Services will be held at Ozada Flats Church (Morley, AB) on Thursday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Kevin’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
