Dace POUCETTE

Obituary of Dace POUCETTE

January 22, 1999 – Calgary, Alberta
January 9, 2021 – Cochrane, Alberta

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dace Severin Tate who returned to our Creator on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the age of 21 years.

Dace was a very kind easy going, friendly, caring and loving young man. His smile and love was unconditional when he entered a room. His sense of humour made people laugh and brightened their day. He made a lot of friends because of his humble ways and had an outgoing sprit. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

Dace had a passion for hockey. He enjoyed playing for the Canmore Eagles, Cochrane Rockies, Cremona Cowboys and the Junior B Team Nakoda Wild. As a young boy you would see him playing hockey, whether it was in or outside the hockey rink. He was our little M.V.P. When he was younger, if he wasn’t playing hockey he would be singing traditional songs with home-made drums and singing out loud to make sure he was heard.

He was close with the ones he grew-up with as he would call them “bros”. His mom was his friend, and he rarely left her side. But most of all his pride and joy was his children; he would spend most of his time playing with his daughter, Giana. He couldn’t stay away too long from them. His love for them was unconditional.

Dace is survived by his mother Leah Beaver, his father Todd (Brittany) Poucette: his siblings Taycen, Xica, Simone, Cassiaus and Jomerson: his children Giana and Cooper; his common-law spouse Faith; his maternal grandparents Jeannette and Papa Vidal Sr.; Margery, Lena, Thelma, Verna, Alice ; grandfather Arthur Wildman; paternal grandfathers Lionel, Joe, Gardner, Van; paternal grandmothers Eldra (Brian), Shirley,  adoptive grandmother Jolanda, Uncles Neil, Adriel, Vidal Jr, Ellis (Tamara), Kyen, and his special Uncle Levon Fox; paternal Uncles Rodney and Lyman; his Aunties, Melvette and Leilani (Jose); his “bros” whom he was so close to, Bevon, Shaylen; his special sister Ledy and all his cousins, extended family members from the Beaver, Poucette and Wildman families ; many friends he had made during his life.  We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Dace was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Melvin Beaver in March 2020 and Rose Beaver in May 2020; his paternal grandmother Evangeline Poucette in December 2014; his cousin Vasily Wildman in August 2019.
