Obituary of Phyllis Esther BRUYCKERE (nee Cassidy)

June 4, 1946 - Lethbridge, Alberta
January 9, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Esther Bruyckere announces her passing on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the age of 74 years.

Phyllis was born in Lethbridge, AB, the oldest of five children.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness and wonderful sense of humour.  Phyllis was also known for her youthful spirit and enjoyed spending time with her family crafting and baking.

Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-two years, Wayne, her daughter Stacey (Perry) Hunchak, and granddaughters, Ashley and Allison.  Phyllis will also be fondly remembered by her sister Peggy (Jim) Gilmour, brother Dave (Judith) Cassidy, and brothers-in-law, Lucien (Lorraine) Bruyckere and Norm Krueger.  Phyllis will also be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews, Dean (Claudia) Bruyckere, Myrna-Jean (Dann) Burroughs, Rick Gilmour, Heather (Barry) Drayton, Sam (Chantelle) Gilmour, Gregory (Linda) Cassidy, David Cassidy, Sean Cassidy, Will Krueger, and Josh Krueger; as well as many great-nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Dale and Margaret; sister Susie Krueger, and brother Ron (Judy) Cassidy.
