Obituary of Nakayo (Chooch), (Tilly) Valdina Kiara Faith POUCETTE-WESLEY

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Nakayo (Chooch) who has returned home to be with our Creator on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Nakayo was a kind, humorous young woman who always had a smile on her face. She lit up any room she walked into with her contagious smile. Only a few can truly say they knew her she kept her circle of friends small. 

She received her education at Louise Dean School. She had a passion for dance: she would create her own dance routines, practicing her routines alone in her room with music playing loudly. Music was her escape from anything she had going on in life.

Nakayo will be missed by her family and friends, she is survived by her only child, her pride and joy Donelley Jeremiah Wesley; maternal grandparents, Buddy (Vicki) Wesley, Clarence (Shirley) Wesley, Ramona (Mom) Wesley, Margery Powderface, Jeanette (Vidal) Frencheater, Lena (Adam) Wildman; paternal grandmother Kathleen Poucette, great-grandfather Sykes (Jaunita) Powderface, her loving brother Tye and Larana Wesley whom she referred to as her parents, sisters, Carlena “Mom” (Ryan) Wesley, Robbie (Tobias) Jacobs; brothers, Bailey Wesley, Drake Poucette, Blaine (Shantell) Abraham; uncles, Lee Poucette, Kyle Fox; aunts, Margery Twoyoungmen, Geraldine (Harvey) Twoyoungmen, Myrna (Fred) Powderface, Pauline (Darrel) Beaver, Sandra Poucette, Paula Poucette, Natalie (Rob) Shotclose, Rachel (Myron) Poucette; special aunt Hannah Butson, ten nephews, and eight nieces, among those were her favorite nieces Audrey, Nattie, and nephews Collman, Cody, and Masiah.
 
She was predeceased by her parents, Angeline Wesley and Paget Poucette; siblings, Arona Wesley, Christian Wesley; uncles, Pernell Wesley, Donovan Wesley, Jason Poucette; aunts, Olivia Wesley and Miranda Poucette.  We apologize if we have missed anyone.

A Wake will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery.
