Obituary of Janeene GRIBBLE

August 1, 1939 – Toronto, Ontario
January 17, 2021– Calgary, Alberta

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our dearly loved and devoted mother, Janeene Gribble, of Calgary, AB. She passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 81 years at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks, AB. We thank the staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make sure Janeene was kept comfortable in her final days.

Janeene was born in Toronto, ON, on August 1, 1939, to Isabel and George MacKay, both from the Edinburgh, Scotland region. Janeene travelled back, with her parents, to what they referred to as “the old country” and relished in every experience. 
Janeene married Kenneth Gribble on June 6, 1958, in Toronto, ON, and their long and sweet union continued for fifty-seven years until his death in 2015.

Janeene was a very loving soul and treasured every single relationship she ever had. She loved laughing and sharing stories with her friends and family. Her beautiful expression and presence will be missed dearly. We love you mom. 
Janeene is survived by her two sons, Robert (Paula) and Andrew (Kristen) and their twin girls, Alex and Avery of White Rock, BC. Janeene also has one niece, Sandra McDowell (Steve) and their two daughters, Melissa and Kelly of Pickering, ON.
