Condolences
I was saddened to learn today of the death of Ken. It has been many years, Marcia, since I last met with you and Ken in Ottawa, and now my thoughts are with you and your family. Ken was an outstanding officer and I regret that I only came to know him in the later years of his military career. He was intelligent, energetic and steadfast in his unceasing efforts to enhance the capabilities of the Canadian Army Reserve and of the soldiers who served. He was a terrific leader and colleague.

Marcia, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I don't ever recall seeing Ken without a genuine smile on his face whenever he visited our unit lines.
Ma'am, I am so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I remember his easy-going nature and sense of humour, and that a BGen actually took the time to chat casually. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Marcia, we your former troops, are just now learning of the passing of your dear husband. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
May all the warm and happy memories you have of him see you through this sad time, and stay with you always.

My condolences Marcia to you and your entire family. Ken, and I, as you know, go back a long time to London Militia District times, through MOSC and then to Hamilton where I served under him when he was the District Commander of HMD. Lots of good memories of those days with Ken. May he RIP
I am just learning of Ken's passing now. Our sincere condolences to Marcia and all his family and friends. I first met Ken when I was a young captain and he was a senior instructor on my Militia staff course. Later, I worked with him as his public affairs officer when he commanded Hamilton Militia District. I learned a lot from him on the way the Army really worked! If possible, I would appreciate it if Marcia could contact me at tim.fletcher@sympatico.ca . Again, our deepest sympathies on his passing at such an early age.
Marcia,
My deepest sympathy on your loss. I was fortunate to have worked with Ken, not once, but twice in my military career. Tremendous laughs on both occasions. He was my first, of many Commanding Officers, and he was a huge influence on my future growth as an officer. He inspired us all to work hard, play hard and despite the demands of the Regiment, to appreciate the opportunity we had been given to serve.
Marcia et al,
My sincerest condolences on the loss of a husband, father and grand-father. To us who served with him, he was the consummate leader and, dare I say, father figure. He was the first Lieutenant Colonel Commanding for whom I served, and little did I know I would in time become a friend. I still recall with laughter when, years later when I was serving as a police officer in Ottawa, I responded to a house alarm, only to discover that (a) you and Ken had moved to Ottawa, and (b) Ken did lot know how to operate the home’s alarm system . To this day I wonder if your neighbours questioned the sanity of the new arrival and the local constabulary!
We will miss him

Lise passed on the information about Ken. I liked and respected the Big Guy and am so very sorry. You two always appeared to have a close and loving relationship so this past year must have been hell for you.

Dear Marcia
It was with great sadness that we learned of Ken’s passing this morning. Please accept out deepest sympathies in your time of mourning.
Ken was indeed a great supporter of the Regiment and he will be remembered for his many contributions of time and effort to the unit and the Regimental Family.

Dear Marcia,
The sad news of Ken's passing is the making the rounds and when I read the e-mail from Brian Tracey I could not but pause and recollect all the times our lives in the Army intersected for 30+ years. I will miss him and I know all who worked with him over the years will too.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
Yours aye,

Hello Marcia,
It has been a few years since we have seen each other, but I wanted to send you my most sincere condolences today with your loss. I had the opportunity to be Ken’s ADC as a young officer, and it is hard to believe that he is now one of my predecessors as DG ARes.
My family and I have you and your family in our thoughts, I do hope we can reconnect one day soon.
Take care,
Nic

Marcia,
Fran and I are sitting here and just feeling very, very sad. I thought that Ken was one of those people that would always be like the Energizer Bunny and just go on and on and on. I am glad that I sent him the letter a little while ago and I hope that it brought a wee smile to his face.
He was my friend ... and I mourn his loss.
Cliff
Good evening Marcia
I saw Brian’s email earlier this week informing us of Ken’s health and I meant to reach out, but my dad was in the hospital as well battling COVID. Unfortunately, my Dad passed away on Thursday afternoon and I have been dealing with my mom and family.
Reading my emails this evening and holding back my tears, I wanted to reach out to you and express my heartfelt condolences to you and the whole family. I met Ken Quinn many years ago, and what struck me the most, was how approachable he was, and how very considerate . A true gentleman.
Best regards

Marcia,
Fred and I have been thinking of you and now know the worst has happened.
We went for a walk and remembered the times we have shared with you and Ken over the years.
I wish we were closer but you and your family are in our hearts.
Just know that we love you, and that you will get through this hard time.
Love you, Coreen and Fred
Really sad news. I tried to track you down earlier this winter to see how you and Ken were doing. Cliff walker had inquired but my old computer crashed an I didn’t have any contact.
Anyways, I hope you and your family are holding up as well as you can.
I was thinking back to Ken and I up in Edmonton in that little house by the old HQ - me watching tv and him snoring in his chair. Little memories- but important to me. A good friend and role model.
You have my email so please contact me anytime. Also my phone number is 403 807 9453.
Eileen was heartbroken as well.

On behalf of all the members of the Canadian Grenadier Guards Association, I send sincerest condolences to Marcia, and the rest of the Quinn Family, for your loss. Ken was an exemplar of an excellent Grenadier. The Regimental Family is saddened to have lost one of its own, and we are all shaken by the suddenness of this loss.
We hope that the support within your own family will help each of you during this difficult time. Please know that you are also in the thoughts and prayers of many others in The Grenadier community who have heard the sad news of Ken’s passing via The Association’s communication channels.
Dear Marcia and Family:
I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences on Ken's passing.
My thoughts and sympathies are with you at this extraordinarily difficult time.
Sincerely,
Patricia Murphy

My sincerest condolences to Marcia and family. Ken and I shared years of our youth together with the Canadian Grenadier Guards and it was always an honour to have him select me as an usher at their wedding. Besides being an example as an officer Ken was a close friend as a brother officer.
