Obituary of Albert (Bert) SASKIW

January 27, 2021 - Calgary    Alberta

On Wednesday, January 27, 2021 Bert peacefully passed away at the age of 81, ending his short battle with cancer.

Bert had a long career in the oil and gas industry and will fondly be remembered by those who had the chance to work with him. He enjoyed travelling, golfing, as well as being active with his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy to him.

Bert is survived by his loving wife Lillian, and children, Brad, Grant, and Cindy; grandchildren, Justin (Cassidy) and Kaitlyn; and great-grandchildren Abigail and Owen. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert, Tom (Violet); sister Linda, sister-in-law Lovett, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bert was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Saskiw, and brother-in-law Chris Zorniak.
