Obituary of Agnes Paschal KARY

June 17, 1932 – Derry, Northern Ireland December 8, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Our cherished mother and grandmother, June, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 85 years. June grew up in Northern Ireland, spending many of her formative years in Coleraine with her parents and six siblings. She went to University in the UK attaining her teaching degree. June came to Canada over fifty years ago where she taught for twenty-five years in Southern Alberta and in Calgary. While living in Calgary, she met David Kary and they were married in 1967 at St. Francis Church. They were together for twenty-five years and had four children. June never lost touch with her cherished family in Ireland and Innisfail, AB. June will be remembered for an indomitable fighting spirit, a bright mind and quick wit that together with a generous heart has left her mark on many. June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Kary and Brian Hein; her son and daughter-in-law, Desmond Kary and Rose Marie Zanin; her grandson Sean, daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Murray Martin and her grandson Isaac; and her son Michael. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and one sister Sheila Collins of Kilkeel, County Down, Ireland. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
