Obituary of Montgomery Douglas John MCCOLL

October 16, 1972 – Calgary, Alberta November 21, 2017 – Vancouver, British Columbia Monty McColl of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on November 21, 2017 at the age of 45 years. Monty’s birth in Edmonton in 1972, was a God-send to our family, a beautiful happy baby boy. He grew up in Calgary a happy young boy full of excitement and happiness. He did well in school and was a happy young boy with many friends and a loving family. He played in the junior league, then advanced to playing drums, something that stayed with him for life. Monty met his wife Jody in the late eighties, moved to Calgary and had two beautiful children, Ashton and Elijah whom he loved and adored. Monty and his wife separated after four years of marriage. From there, Monty worked several jobs in the oil field driving heavy trucks to installing high electrical lines. He left the oil industry in 2015 to join a heavy duty trucking company in the lower BC mainland. He loved his work and the heavier trucks hauling dangerous goods. He excelled at this and was also given the job of training new employees while still travelling the dangerous routes. Monty was a very loving person to his family, friends and particularly to his two daughters who he was not allowed to see for twelve years up to his untimely and tragic death. He was only 45. His love for family, friends and his daughters Elijah and Ashton will live on forever. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
