Obituary of Patrick William DOYLE

July 25, 1939 – Marmora, Ontario
February 16, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Patrick William Doyle, beloved husband of the late Rita Doyle (nee Kavoski) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the age of 81 years.

Patrick was born in Marmora on July 25, 1939. He joined the 58th Field Engineer Squadron and was stationed in Chilliwack, BC, and enjoyed his time overseas in Germany.

Patrick married Rita on November 14, 1964 in Toronto, ON. They moved to Calgary, AB, in 1969 with their son Grant. Soon after, Patrick began a long career with Labbe-Leech Interiors working on many of the great buildings of downtown Calgary. Together, Patrick and Rita raised their son Grant, and saved six dogs and twelve cats over the years while worshipping the Lord at numerous Catholic dioceses in Calgary.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Scout Leader for the Cubs, and volunteered with numerous Catholic Church groups including prison ministry, pilgrimages, and helping numerous members of the community.

Patrick accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of his love of construction, his family, cheering for local sports teams, and helping people in the church community.

Patrick is survived by his son Grant Doyle of Calgary, his three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerry and Christine Doyle of Richmond Hill, ON, Mike and Leola Doyle of Bowmanville, ON, Paul and Jo-Anne Doyle of Peterborough, ON; and one sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Ed Reynolds of Belleville, ON; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Patrick was predeceased by his wife Rita, his parents, Bernie and Leo Doyle of Marmora, ON, and brother Ron.
