Condolences
So sorry for your loss. I never knew the man, but raised in the Calgary area, I do remember him from the '70's, CFAC radio and The Ranchman years. I had one of his albums on a player this morning, and wondered, "what ever happened to...".
That's when I found his obituary. Like so many similar times, I wish I'd known him. His music will live on.
Myrna - I just heard about Merv's passing at the AGM tonight. I am so saddened and sorry to hear this. My thoughts and heart are with you during this difficult time. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need to talk. You know where I live.

We worked with Merv at Yorkton Securities. He was always joyful and easy to be around. We knew he liked music and playing the guitar. And even though we worked with him over the years we didn’t know of his interesting life and accomplishments until we read his obituary. He was a good person.
Our deepest sympathy to all of Merv’s family.

Everyone liked Merv. Condolences to his family and many friends.
Merv was my best golf friend. There was no one I would rather play with. Almost every summer Sunday morning, we’d be teeing off at D’arcy Ranch. We also spent lots of time at Mabel Lake with him and Myrna. We looked forward to it for many years. He was a great golfer, great cook, great singer, and most of all a great friend. I will miss him terribly and when I think of him, he always brings a smile to my face. I loved that man. It was hard not to.
His friend always,
Simon
