Obituary of Robert Frank FROHLICK

May 25, 1939 – Holdfast, Saskatchewan December 2, 2017 – Okotoks, Alberta Bob, beloved husband of Mary-Lynn Frohlick (nee Robertson) of Okotoks, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Bob left home at eighteen years of age and completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Colorado on a football scholarship. He returned to Regina and completed a Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Regina. Bob then furthered his education and completed a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Oregon. He started his teaching career in Indian Head, Saskatchewan where he met his future wife Mary Lynn. He moved to Regina in 1964 where he continued teaching, becoming Vice Principal and Principal of many local high schools. Bob had a very successful teaching career and was proud to be the President of the Canadian Association of Principals for two years. The love of his life was football and he coached numerous high school teams and the Junior Regina Thunder team. In 2006, Bob and Mary Lynn moved to Okotoks, Alberta where he continued to coach high school football. Bob made a huge impact in the sport of football both in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He enjoyed coaching football and watching his favorite team the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Bob and Mary Lynn moved to Alberta to spend time with their grandchildren. Bob enjoyed watching all his grandchildren participate in various sports. Bob is survived by his wife Mary Lynn whom he would affectionately call M.L.; his children Lance Frohlick and Laura Swift (Shane), and three grandchildren, Brayden Swift, Jayden Swift and Tylan Swift. He is also survived by his brother Richard Frohlick; his sisters-in-law, Melva Frohlick and Jane Frohlick, brother-in-law Bill Robertson (Bev), sister-in-law Margaret Lang (Lawrence Prior) and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents John and Magdalene Frohlick and brothers Adolph (Adie) and Gordon Frohlick. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Okotoks Beach House on Sunday December 10, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
