Obituary of Perlita Zambrano LEANO

October 13, 1950 – Baguio City, Philippines November 24, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Perlita Z. Leano of Calgary, AB, passed away on November 24, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Perlita was born in the Philippines, and immigrated to Canada in 1986; she was the first of her family to make the journey with several siblings following either to Canada or the United States. She loved to travel and enjoyed cruising with friends. She loved new adventures and helping people; something she often did as both a teacher and a nursing care attendant. Perlita was diagnosed with cancer in 1995; she was given five years but beat the odds and went into remission twice. Her bravery and courage was an inspiration to all those she leaves behind. Perlita is survived by two brothers and two sisters-in-law; nine sisters and eight brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Pablo U. Leano and Patricia Z. Leano; and her brother Raul Z. Leano.
