Obituary of Jytta LANGFORD

Jytta Langford beloved wife of, Gordon Langford, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the age of 83 years.

Jytta came to Canada when she was 11. She met Gordon while working for the Royal Bank in Calgary. Working as a book keeper for a seniors lodge in Evansburg, they volunteered at the Dow Centre in Fort Saskatchewan after retirement.

In her younger years she did a lot of knitting and cross stitch. Jytta and Gordon loved to travel, and they joined other Snowbirds for many years in Arizona after Gordon retired. They fell in love with cruising, especially river cruising in Europe.

Besides her loving husband, Jytta is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Sandra Langford of Sherwood Park, and

Tom and Gayle Langford of Red Deer; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Paul Ronellenfitch of Cochrane; her grandchildren Stephanie (Blair) Alaric, Stacey (Justin) Anderson, Jason Ronellenfitch, Ryan (Jaira) Langford, and Kyle Langford; and her great-grandchildren, Ryden Alaric, Jordyn Anderson, Blake Alaric, Kai Alaric and Skyler Anderson; and sister-in-law Eileen Poulsen.

Jytta was predeceased by her parents Sonja and Alfred Poulsen; as well as her brother Eric Poulsen.
