Obituary of Janet Theresa RETALLICK

Janet Theresa Retallick of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the age of 95 years.

Janet was born in Toronto, ON, on September 7, 1925 to Arthur Percy Routley and Elsie Christina Routley.

She studied classical music, piano and organ in Toronto and shortly after became an organist at St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church for a few years. The love of music led her to many choirs from 1943 until her passing.

Janet moved from Toronto to Calgary in 1987 to be closer to family. She had a great love of horses and dogs, so much so that she showed, trained and judged horses in Ontario and Alberta. Janet also had a passion for photography, which she developed over the years.

Janet is survived by her son Michael Retallick, daughter-in-law Kimberly Retallick; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Bill Routley and her sister Helen Mae McGrath.
