Obituary of Veronica LAGACE (nee Barry)

February 3, 1949 – Cork, Ireland
April 15, 2021– Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Veronica Lagace on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the age of 72 years. 

Veronica was born in Cork, Ireland, married in England and immigrated to Canada, where she initially settled in Montreal with her young family. They made the move to Calgary where Veronica spent fifteen years working for Scotiabank, where she thrived working with people. When the family moved to Sundre, AB she chose to use her exceptional people skills and become a realtor. Veronica loved to travel and made the move to Australia in 2003 where she became an Australian Citizen. She moved back to Canada after the death of her second husband to be closer to her family. She fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a mother, and was an active, loving Nanna to her two grandchildren. 

Veronica was a passionate storyteller and left an impression on everyone she met. She truly enjoyed getting to know people and cherished all who were a part of her life. 

She will be deeply missed by her children, Tanya, Roland (Toni), Sonya (Palladin) and Sabryna; her grandchildren, Tenleigh and Callen, as well as extended family around the world. She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Hannah; her siblings, Padraig, Rois Maire, Kevin; and her nephew Mark.
