Obituary of Andrew Calder Anderson

November 13, 1961 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
April 23, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

We are very sad to announce that Andrew Anderson, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the age of 59 years.

Andrew was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB where he attended RB Russell Vocational School.  In 1980, Andrew moved to Calgary and worked in a number of positions, including the Uptown Bottle Depot for twenty years, and at IKO Industries for ten years. Andrew was valued by his employers for his strong work ethic, his reliability and dependability.

Andrew proudly owned a Harley motorcycle for several years, and enjoyed many road trips, including the Sturgis Bike Rally. Andrew was an adventurous soul who loved to travel and try new activities and exotic food.  His many travels included San Francisco, Paris France, Australia, Costa Rica and Mexico. He loved to tell stories of his trip to Australia with his sister, where he swam with the crocodiles among many things.  He also made a trip to Aberdeen Scotland to explore family roots. 

Andrew will be most remembered and missed for his sense of fun and adventure, as well as his infinite kindness and generosity.
 
Andrew is survived by his brother Duncan (Pat) of Winnipeg, MB, his sisters, Sandra Bellabono of Calgary, AB and Laurie Miller (Ray Scott) of Ft. Frances, ON; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Muriel Bernice (Bunny) Anderson, his father Stanley Calder Anderson and his sister Heather Jean(Kevin Manz).
