Condolences
It is with sadness that I send condolences to the Kirkwood family on the loss of Win.
When moving to Edmonton with my family in 1978,Win,my neighbour from across the street was the first person to welcome Wendy and I to the neighborhood. We became more than neighbours, spending many great times between our homes, sharing meals, drinks and making memories with our families.
It turned out that Win and I also shared our birthday and as evidenced by the picture Darren posted of Win and I sharing a special birthday cake,a good time was always close at hand.
Maureen,Darren,Chris and families,my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
I am so saddened to hear of uncle Wins passing.I have fond childhood memories of making the trip from BC to Alberta and asking our parents every 1/2 hour “are we there yet ? “ , “how much longer ? “ it was all worth it once we arrived. Kitt family packed up with cereal to trade our cousins for Koogle eyes peanut butter ! Uncle Win was a very kind and generous soul my heart truly aches over this loss. Our parents always pressed upon us the importance of family and it is times like this it really hits home. Darren ,Chris, Aunt Maureen and family -thinking of you. GK aka (Baby Huey)
