Randy always kept in touch. We last spoke in February. Just today I messaged him. I did an online search and am absolutely gutted to learn he is no longer with us. Please accept my deepest condolences. May he Rest In Peace.
I am sickened to have just found out about Randy's passing. I was with him for 13 years and although we divorced it was an amicable split and I like to think we remained friends. I think of him often and send my deepest condolences to Teresa, Mike, Mega, Mitchell and Carolyn and her family. May he rest in peace.
I feel lucky to have met Randy and worked with him for a few years in Red Deer and while he was in Calgary. He is one of the funniest and sharpest people I have been around. One of my favorite memories of Randy was back when my family and I first came to Red Deer for a new job. I had introduced Randy to my young children, kids this is Mr. Fasick.
On the way home from the meeting, my then 5 year old son asked me "what does that guy you work with do at the office? Which guy is that? The guy at the office at the end, Mr. Fantastic"
I remember telling Randy and the laughter that ensued. The name has stuck over the years.
My sincerest condolences to the family. Mr. Fantastic will be missed.
I knew Randy for many years. Sad to hear of his passing. Randy was a great guy! Period. He was a blue jeans and golf shirt kind of guy and was a very humble man. I never seen him upset in all the years I did business with him, and, he always had a great story to tell.
One of my favorites stories was when he had to go to Denver Colorado for meetings with an energy producer on behalf of the company he was employed with. Randy told me it was strongly suggested he buy dress pants, shirt, tie , dress shoes etc., as he was meeting with the executive team. Randy told me he tried to plead his case to his management team that it was unnecessary for the suit and tie thing, however, they disagreed and Randy told me he showed up at the Denver offices in his new suit and tie, dress shoes, new haircut, the whole look. He said when he walked into the meeting room, everyone was wearing blue jeans, cowboy boots and golf shirts. I don't believe he ever attended another meeting in a suit and tie.
I can promise you Randy's version was much more eloquent however hopefully you can read the humor in it. He was a Great Guy and I have many funny stories to pass along. In closing, my most sincere condolences to the passing of a great guy.
So very sorry to hear of Randy's passing. Our sincere condolences to everyone. Keith & Roberta Vandemark

I'm so saddened to learn of Randy's passing. We were great friends back in school and into my early adulthood. Randy was a fun-loving, kind person and just a really good guy. He was also super smart and loved a good joke (I can still hear his laugh). I'm glad to have been able to call him my friend for many years and will long cherish the many memories. He will be greatly missed and thought of often. My condolences to all his family and friends.
