I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband, father, grandfather. Please accept my deepest condolences, Besides the many get togethers over the years, I have to say my happiest memories were the first time and others after that, when Uncle Franco and Zia Caroline decided they wanted to see Hawaii along with my inlaws ,and Luigi Vigna and his wife.
This was years ago, back in the day's when you got a full course dinner on board your flight, complimentary seat selection and lots of baggage allowance! For weeks before the actual trip departure, your dad would come into the travel agency at least once a week to always go over things, ask questions, make sure that all was in order etc. It was probably a highlight of the week back then.
He was in charge of making sure everyone was sitting close to each other on the aircraft; and was thrilled when I would show him the seat map so he could chose everyone's seat in advance! From time to time if a few seats had opened up closer to the front then he would ask to move everyone up to that area instead.
The anticipation would build once Wardair sent out the actual travel documents because then the trip would be lless than 2 weeks away and I might see him a bit more than usual.
They chose a property that had a full kitchenette in each of their rooms so they would be able to cook their own pasta. They all loved Hawaii as they would be able to walk around freely, explore Waikiki beach, attend the Hula Show near the zoo at their leisurely pace. They learned how to get around on the city bus; including the one that could take them all around the island and drop them off close to their hotel when they wanted to come back home.
This may sound a bit kooky to some, but when English isn't your first language, and you are (to them) in a foreign country, to be able to achieve this was really something..
When I think about Uncle Franco, this is always the best memory that comes up and makes me smile.
Sincerely
Mona,John, Pamela,Mike Logullo

Zia Carolina, Mary, Tony, Luigi, Pina, and Licia.and families. Where do you start?. Uncle Frank was my GODFATHER, a kind loving man to always offer advice, his opinion and laughter. We had shared numerous experiences of fun through hunting, fishing, a trip to Las Vegas that I'll never forget, playing cards, and sharing many meals. He had a great sense of humor and we loved to play tricks on other uncles. We shared many Sunday picnics in the mountains and in various PARKS growing up. Most weekends were shared with visiting experiences between families. A tradition that is lost now with the younger generations. the summer vacations to the Okanagan will never be forgotten. there was always a new excitement every time we went. It was an honor to constantly talk to him and visit with him when our health would Provide the opportunity. He will be missed. May his memories, his laughter and jovial personality be embedded in your hearts and minds forever. As our last living uncle now we have a void. Thanks for your guidance and your love. May God help ease the pain and support your families as they grieve. Another table is set. Uncle Frank now that you are with your loved ones the card game can begin once again and most of the good old days of Calabria and Canada can be revisited in days of your youth. We will miss you forever. REST in peace. Love ALWAYS Angelo and Wendy.
