Obituary of Patrick George William Carruthers HARMAN P.Eng

May 14, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Patrick George Harman passed away suddenly on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 91 from a massive heart attack. 

Patrick was a kind and gentle soul who was beloved by all who knew him, but most especially by Betty, his wife of 28 years. Pat loved to travel and he and Betty travelled extensively throughout the world, forging many strong friendships with people from all corners of the globe. Covid put a pause to their travels but plans were already underway for their next adventure. Patrick had a long and successful career in the oil industry from which he took early retirement to care for his first wife Mary until her untimely passing. 

Pat is survived by his children, George Harman (Karen), Allan Harman and Coleen Harman (Rik); stepchildren Marilyn Judd (Jim) and Ken Moore (Debbie); along with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, including his namesake Patrick Harman Jr. born in 2019.

Patrick was predeceased by his first wife Mary and three sisters.
