Obituary of Susan Marie BADICK

December 11, 1943 – Turner Valley, Alberta

May 24, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Susan passed away suddenly from a heart attack in her Calgary home Monday, May 24, 2021 at the age of 77 years.

For forty years, Susan worked at the University of Calgary retiring from Library Acquisitions and everyone in the library knew Sue. After retirement in December, 2004, she was able to dedicate even more time to her passion - dogs. She bred and showed many champion wire-haired mini dachshunds and co-bred whippets with her daughter Carla, under the registered name Nasusa.

Together, Carla and Susan started the Stampede City Whippet Club.  Susan was a founding member of the Alberta Sporting Hound Association, involved for thirty years in the Alberta Kennel Club, show secretary for many clubs and also traveled internationally as an all-breed judge and mentor to many.

Susan is survived by her brothers, Michael (Sharie) and Clifford Miller; her daughter-in-law Bobbi Beaudreau, grandsons, Alex and Erik Badick; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews and nieces of the Miller and Glazier families in Alberta and Dubai, UAE. Susan was predeceased by her sister Sharon Glazier, daughter Carla Badick and son Mark Badick. Her legacy and true love will live on in her dog family world with her dear friends and associates.
