Obituary of Norman (Norm) Douglas BIRBECK

November 20, 1953 – Port Arthur, Ontario
     May 25, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

With great sadness, the family of Norman (Norm) Douglas Birbeck announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the age of 67. Norm is survived by his children who he was deeply proud of, his son Adam Birbeck and daughter Erin Birbeck, three grandchildren who he loved dearly, the mother to his daughter Irene Birbeck, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born on November 20, 1953, Norm was predeceased by parents Dorothy and Lawrence Birbeck and brothers Bruce and Gordon Birbeck. Norm began his career at an early age with the Toronto Dominion Bank and excelled in becoming the Managing Director of Corporate Finance. He retired from TD after 37 years and went on to be the Vice President and Treasurer at Veresen Inc. until the age of 65.

Norm loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for his family. He was very active and enjoyed the outdoors, taking day trips to the mountains, camping with family, and golfing and fishing with friends. Norm will be deeply missed and always remembered by his children, friends, and family.
