Obituary of Fedele SUCCURRO

September 19, 1966 – Calgary, Alberta
May 26, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Fedele Succurro of Calgary, AB, passed away from complications due to Covid-19 on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the age of 54 years.

Fedele was known for his quick wit, sense of humour, infectious laugh, and kind spirit. His cheerful attitude and personality were contagious to everyone he met. Fedele always wore a smile on his face. He had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others and was such a compassionate human being. The world is a lesser place without him.

Fedele worked as a purchaser for the maintenance department of Plygem for thirty years. He was fiercely dedicated, committed and supportive in this role, and his work colleagues will miss him dearly. Fedele was also an avid car enthusiast. He loved to build intricate models of all kinds and attended many car shows and races.

The simplest pleasures in life also brought great joy to Fedele. He loved quiet nights at home with his family, with whom he had an unwavering dedication and a deep love. He especially had a great love for his nephew, Justin, to whom he was a father figure. Fedele enjoyed spending time with Justin and taking him to all his karate classes for numerous years. He was a wonderful uncle, son and brother who never wavered in his support or expression of love.

He will be dearly missed by all who loved him, especially his mom, dad, sister, nephew, and aunt, with whom he had a special bond. Fedele is survived by his parents, Vincenza and Giovanni Succurro; sister Connie Succurro, nephew Justin, Aunt Maria Scarcelli, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Those who knew Fedele, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. We love and miss you so much - our dearest Son, Nephew, and Brother - Our Rock.

Due to Covid-19, a Private Family Service will be held. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed on Fedele’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com. Fedele's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the healthcare professionals at the Peter Lougheed Emergency and Intensive Care Unit Departments, including the paramedics, for their care, commitment, and compassion for Fedele during his brief hospitalization battling Covid.

In living memory of Fedele Succurro, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
