Obituary of Eileen Cecilia GOODEY

April 19, 1939 – Colchester, England
June 2, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Eileen Cecilia Goodey, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the age of 82 years, with her husband John and his daughter Janis Freeman by her side.

Eileen was a counsellor and psychotherapist at Foothill Hospital in Calgary for many years, and a wonderful friend with a loving and generous heart to all. She studied the works of Rudolph Steiner, was an artist for her own enjoyment, and played the accordion.

She loved the outdoors particularly by the sea, and was always ready at any time for a long walk or hike in the woods with John.

Eileen is survived by her brother John (Julia) Goodey; and sister Marjorie Simpson, both of England.

A Memorial Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
