Obituary of Jacqueline (Jackie) Marion CHABROS

Jacqueline Marion Chabros, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the age of 68 years.

Born September 12, 1952 in Meaford, ON, to Jack and Marguritte. Jackie moved to Calgary as a young girl with her family to care for her grandfather. Jackie attended Western Canada High School, graduating from SAIT to complete her post-secondary education. She was a trail blazer as one of only a few women in the field of equipment fabrication in oil and gas in Calgary during the 1970s. Jackie got her feet wet in the drafting department and moved into the estimation department where her insight and opinions continued to be highly esteemed up until her retirement. Well known for her bright spirit, intelligent nature, and big heart, Jackie loved many things in life. She was an avid Beatles fan and collector, loved reading and music, and was fortunate to experience many incredible headlining bands in her day - great moments in time that she recalled fondly. Creative in spirit, Jackie loved fashion, jewelry and interior design. Her unbelievable green thumb and dedication to her plants resulted in stunning gardens that continue to be the envy of the community. In recent years, Jackie had taken up researching her family tree, tracing her ancestry back to the 1700s. Jackie's love for family was her most indelible quality, and her love for her son was unparalleled. Tyler was born in 1991, forever changing her life. Tyler was Jackie's world. An incredibly proud mother, Jackie boasted of his accomplishments and gave him the chance to experience as much as she could so he could discover what he truly enjoyed. From encouraging his art, to supporting his continuing education and being sure not to miss a soccer game, Jackie was a fiercely devoted mother whose absence will be impossible to fill.

Jackie is survived by her loving family, Tyler Chabros and Peanut Gilhooly and the many friends who will lovingly remember her.
