Obituary of John Gordon DAVIDSON

June 3, 1943 – Toronto, Ontario October 14, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta John (JD) Davidson, beloved husband of Susan Davidson (nee Warren) of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the age of 74 years. One of John’s many crowning achievements in his 30 year construction career was the overseeing of the preparations of McMahon Stadium for the 1988 Winter Olympics. Prior to his retirement, John and his wife Susan owned and operated a very successful business, Calgary Ribbon Exchange. Besides his loving wife Susan, John is survived by his sister Heather Gibson (Colin); his daughter Jacqueline Carere (George); his son Kenneth Davidson (Lori); and his stepsons Steven Lund (Dani) and Jason Lund (Kayo). John is also survived by his loving grandchildren Joshua, Matthew and Sarah Carere, Shaylin and Jayden Davidson, Brennan, Connor and Devyn Lund and Colby Westgard (Staven); his nephews Scott and Marc Gibson and their families. John is survived by many more extended family and friends. John was predeceased by his parents Jack and Ruth; and his mother-in-law Irene Russell. John will be sadly missed by his many friends at the Cottonwood and Dessert Princess Golf and Country Clubs.
