Obituary of Salvatore MIGLIARESE

October 18, 1941 – San Giovanni In Fiore, Cosenza, Italy
June 10, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Salvatore Migliarese, beloved husband of Franca Migliarese (nee Talarico), of Calgary, AB passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the age of 79 years.

Salvatore was born in San Giovanni In Fiore on October 18, 1941. Salvatore married Franca on March 29, 1969.

Salvatore was a local businessman. He retired in 2006 from his restaurant Giovanni’s. Sal loved all kinds of sports, especially soccer and hockey. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Sal was very caring, generous, outgoing and could always make everyone around him laugh. 

Besides his loving wife, Franca, Salvatore is survived by his children, Maria (Laurier), Frank, and Gino; grandchildren, Anthony (Sophie), Robby, and Valentina; brothers, Battista and family; Antonio and family; sisters, Caterina and family; Franca and family; sister-in-law, Rose and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Salvatore was predeceased by his parents, Francesco and Maria; brothers, Peppino, Angelo, and Mario; and sisters, Teresa and Maria; sister-in-law Caterina and niece Maria.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to join Mr. Migliarese’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
