Obituary of Joseph Jerome TIMMONS

February 15, 1932 – June 12, 2021

Joe Timmons passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the age of 89.

Joe grew up in Alberta and attended the University of Colorado in Denver and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, graduating with a degree in Geophysics.  He was a notable collegiate athlete in track and field and football, later signing with the Edmonton Eskimos. He was also a successful western Canadian businessman who gave generously to those in need. Joe loved spending time with his family, golfing with his buddies, fishing, skiing, gardening, fast cars, and the cabin at Lake Windermere.

Joe will be missed by his loving wife Anne, son Dale (Melanie), daughter Valerie (Doug) and grandchildren, Curtis (Grazyna), Connel, Scott, Eric and Josie. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley and Gloria (David); his brother Hank, and many nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his brother John and sister Josephine. 

A Private Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
