Obituary of James Collett ROBERTSON

October 30, 1940 – July 9, 2021

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved dad, wonderful husband, and amazing Gpa. Jay passed away suddenly on Friday, July 9, 2021 doing what he always took pleasure in doing, helping his family, who meant more to him than anything else in the world.

Jay was an extremely passionate teacher and principal. His continual thirst for knowledge resonated with his students, and continued long into retirement. No matter the question or wonder, you would always find Jay researching for an answer. His infectious laughter, smile, and love for socializing will be sorely missed by our friends and family. His curiosity, wisdom, and genuine kindness will never be forgotten. He was always proud of his family, and was never afraid to make sure you knew just how much.

He is leaving a massive hole in the hearts of his loving wife Carole, and sons, Michael (Cathy) and Steven. His granddaughters, Emily and Ashley, will always cherish the amazing moments spent with Gpa, and his support in everything they did.

A casual Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 19, 2021 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens (24223 Township Rd 242) for those that would like to pay their final respects.  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Jay’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
