Obituary of Kate Barbara DREHER
April 6, 1928 – Regina, Saskatchewan
January 26, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta
We are sad to announce that Kate Dreher (nee Magdalin) passed away suddenly on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the age of 89 years.
Kate was born in Regina, SK and came to Calgary with her husband Anton “Tony” in 1950 now deceased (1998). Kate belonged to the CWL and she enjoyed volunteering at the Ogden Seniors Club, carpet bowling, cards, board games as well as creating her beautiful flower garden every year.
She is survived by five children, Linda (Emmet) McGrath, Brenda (Dennis) Robinson, James (Irene) Dreher, Brian (Val) Dreher and Elana McAuley; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her. Kate was predeceased by her three sisters and seven brothers.
Special Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (7103 – 20A Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
