September 3, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that I Linda (Al’s wife) announce the passing of Allan Abe Zacharias on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the age of 78, after a very long battle with a protracted illness and cancers.

Al will be lovingly remembered by his large family, including his three daughters, Angela, Allison, and Adrienne; nine grandchildren, including Angela’s sons, Kyle and Evan; great-grandson Wyatt, by Evan (Aly); step-son Rob (Jodi), brothers, Art (Mary), Cecil (Gloria), Ben, and Barry (Carol); sister Teresa (Glenn), brother-in-law Tim, and many, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Al also made some very good friends during his stay at Rouleau Manor, Dan (across the hall), and George. Al will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Due to the current COVID- 19 situation, a Memorial Service will be held in the spring/summer of 2022 for family members and close friends who would like to attend. Invitations will be sent out. Pastor Glenn Blazosek will preside.

Thank you to brother-in-law Pastor Glenn and wife Teresa for their prayers with Al during a telephone call not long before his passing.

A big thank you to all the staff, nurses and Dr Leung at Rouleau Manor for taking such very good care of Al during his residence there from December of 2019, and always being so kind to me as well.

And a big thank you also to family, friends and acquaintances, who have been so supportive and kind.

Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
