Obituary of David Arnold LeVesconte

February 3, 1959 – Calgary, Alberta

September 3, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

David LeVesconte, beloved husband of Suzanne LeVesconte (nee Labreche) of Calgary, AB passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the age of 62 years.

Dave was born on February 3, 1959 in Calgary, AB, to parents James and Sharon. In 1983, Dave met Sue and they began their journey, sharing many memories together over the course of the next 38 years. One of Dave’s most cherished memories was the day they celebrated their beautiful marriage on December 6, 2014, showing their eternal love for one another.

Throughout Dave’s life, he had many memorable moments and milestones, including participation as a boy scout for Scouts Canada, singing in his church choir, and playing many games of hockey as a dedicated goaltender. He was also a welder, and later  moved on to becoming a truck driver. Most importantly of all, he was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend.

Dave was previously employed by Gary’s Trucking, and really enjoyed the opportunities it gave him to be able to travel across the country. One of his passions was cruising around the town on his Harley Davidson, with the company of his wife. He was a proud father and grandfather, who loved cheering on his sons and his grandchildren in all of their achievements. He was an excellent cook and an even better baker. He always had the best and special secret recipes for any event, and never failed to deliver. If Dave wasn't cruising around, cheering on family, or cooking and baking, he could  be found outside in the garage, whether he was working on a vehicle or socializing with friends. At the heart of it all, Dave was a man of his word, with never-ending love and support for all of his friends and family. He will be dearly missed by each and every one of us.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Sue, two sons, Jamie (Kristen) and Nicholas; two grandchildren, Isabelle and Kingston; father, James, and siblings, Jim (Raylene), Judy, Debbie (Terry), Sharon (Barry); along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family

He is predeceased by his grandparents, mother, daughter, and brother-in-law.

The family would like to share a special thank you to all of the staff who helped support and take care of our loved one, Dave, at the Foothills Medical Centre.
