Obituary of Deborah Christine Larson (nee Collins, Barnes)

October 21, 1958– Gander, Newfoundland
September 4, 2021 – Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Debbie Larson of Calgary, AB, formerly of Gander and St. John’s, NL, on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the age of 62 years. 

Left to mourn her loss are her husband Byron, sons, Michael and Joshua (Julie); her childrens’ father, Keith Barnes (Karen), granddaughter Tiffanie, and grandson Nolan. She is also survived by her mother Joan Collins, siblings, Brian (Raye), Betty (Roy), David, Paul (Valerie), Sharon, Kevin (Karen), Craig (Denise), Derek (Annie) and Tony; brothers-in-law Ross (Mary) and Alex, sister-in-law Karen (Gordon), aunt Ada Ralph, uncle Gordon Peckford (Nettie), and several nieces and nephews. 

Debbie was predeceased by her father Harold Collins (2015), mother-in-law Doris (2020), sisters-in-law, Diane (2013), and Eunice (2019); and uncle Don Ralph. 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Debbie’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
