Brian George Shlah passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the age of 55 years.

Brian was born on July 27, 1966, in Calgary, AB. He attended the University of Calgary, where he graduated with a BSc in Ecology. Brian pursued a career as a landman in the oil and gas industry and later switched to become an accomplished landman in telecom services. He was a lifelong lover of nature, especially wildlife, plants, and the geography of Alberta. Brian’s career took him up and down the backroads of the prairies, as well as all-around Canada and the USA. He will be remembered as a natural navigator and someone who could appreciate the beauty of all types of landscapes.

Brian will be missed dearly by his three children, William (Michelle), Victoria (Christian), and Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Elena, and Daniel; mother Debbie, brother John (Nathalie), sister Dena, and the mother of his children, Heather. His silly humour and quick wit will be fondly remembered by his nephew Nathan, and three nieces, Veda, Olivia, and Sadie; among many other loving family and friends. Brian was predeceased by his father, Hikmat Shlah in 2000.
