Obituary of Lillian Elsie Bacskai

September 12, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Lillian Elsie Bacskai, 82, of Calgary, AB, passed away on September 12, 2021, following a brief battle with leukemia. 

 

Lillian was born in Leask, SK, to Kalman Bacskai and Lojza on May 19, 1939.  She completed her high school at the Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon.  Lillian spent most of her life in Winnipeg, MB, where she worked for the provincial government, then upon retirement moved to Calgary to be closer to family.  She enjoyed cooking and reading.

 

Lillian is survived by her son Jeffrey Novotny (Sue), daughter Christine Ulicki (Christopher), grandsons, Noah and Ryan Ulicki; brother Roger Kalman (Jean); and sister Angela Brailsford.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Olga Bacskai.

 

In accordance with her wishes there will be no formal service.
