Obituary of Philip Burke Turner

September 14, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

Philip Turner of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 64 years. 

Philip served with Calgary Transit for over thirty years before retiring in 2017. Prior to his career with transit, he worked for CN Railroad, and also owned and operated his own framing company. Philip was a huge fan of golf, bonfires, camping, music, movies, and his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Above all else, his biggest passion were his animals, of which he was an incredible owner of so many over the years. 

He is lovingly remembered by his nephew Kurstyn, his siblings Faye (Brad), Anne (Phil), and Ed. Also left to mourn collectively are seven nieces, seven nephews, twenty-one great-nieces and nephews, plus many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Philip was predeceased by his parents Joan and Edmund Turner; and sisters, Gail, Joy and Sharron.

The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the incredible and gracious nurses and doctors at the Rockyview General Hospital.
