March 13, 1993 – Calgary, Alberta
September 13, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of a dear father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend. Chase Poucette was called home by our Creator on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the age of 28 years.

Chase was a kind, gracious, and humorous person.  He received his education at Morley Community School earning a certificate of achievement in Grade 12.  Growing up he had an interest in all types of sports but he especially loved to play on the creeks with brothers in his youth. He had a desire for work, working in numerous fields ranging from welding, processing vehicles at EVRAZ (Calgary), and custodian at Grey Eagle Event Centre. In 2016 Chase was blessed with a beautiful daughter Anastasia Poucette whom he loved and cherished so dearly. Chase took pride in being Stoney Nakoda Sioux and was fluent in the Stoney Nakoda language. The one thing Chase will always be remembered for is calling ice cream “coupteen.”

Chase is survived by his precious daughter Anastasia, mom Tanya, three sisters, Jada, Kassidy, and Graceen; and brother Tyvin; along with numerous relatives from the Poucette, Twoyoungmen, Ear, Wesley, Wildman, Fox, and Cecil families. We apologize for anyone we have missed.

Chase was predeceased by his Dad Shelley Twoyoungmen (2016), brother Zyon Poucette (2021) paternal grandparents, Irby Cecil (2021) and Marilyn Twoyoungmen (2001); paternal great-grandparents, Jensen (2004) and Winnie Francis (2021); maternal great-grandmother Lucy Poucette (2014).

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Tanya Poucette (Morley, AB) on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19, 2021.  Funeral Services will be held at the residence of Tanya Poucette (Morley, AB) on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB).
