Obituary of Kenneth Grant Bessie

January 26, 1958 – Wilkie, Saskatchewan

With sadness, the family of Kenneth (Ken) Grant Bessie announces his passing on Saturday, September 18, 2021 after a short serious battle with colorectal cancer at 63 years of age.

Ken was born January 26, 1958, and was raised in Weyburn, SK, and Lethbridge, AB. His careers as a typographer, a graphic designer and an art director, spanned his 20’s to 50’s in Edmonton and in Calgary, Alberta. He was a gourmet cook who enjoyed sharing his cooking and knowledge of wine with his friends. Ken also enjoyed the occasional beer with artist friends at the Cat and Fiddle Pub in Calgary.

Ken is survived by his two sisters and their partners, Diane and Rob Moser, and Kathryn Bessie and Lyle Weslowski. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Don and Doris Bessie.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff and Dr. Sharma at Dulcina Hospice in St. Marguerite Manor for their compassionate care the last weeks.
