Obituary of Terry Louise Free (nee Jaquish)

Terry Free, beloved wife of James Free of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 71 years.
Terry was born in Calgary, AB, on March 21, 1950 to parents, Eileen Chatley Jaquish and Donald Jaquish. She graduated from Crescent Heights High School in Calgary and studied Television Arts at SAIT. She was a passionate and talented hairstylist at Les Beaux Cheveux, one of Calgary’s top hair salons at the time.
Terry married James Free on October 16, 1982. She accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of her two sons.
Terry loved her family and she especially enjoyed spending time with her children. She was very proud of her English heritage and made several trips to England throughout her life to visit her relatives there.
Terry will be most remembered for her love and kindness. She cared deeply for her family and the affection she showed will be with us forever.
Besides her loving husband, Terry is survived by her two sons, Alexander (Stephanie) and Eric (Cloé); brothers, Rick Jaquish and Don Jaquish (Carol), Calgary, AB; cat, Nora; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Terry was predeceased by her mother, Eileen; father, Donald; brothers, Paul and Keith.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Those attending will be required to present proof of full COVID vaccination prior to September 20, 2021. Children under 12 years of age are exempt. Masks will be required during the service.
Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Terry’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
