It is with sorrowful and heavy hearts we advise of the peaceful and sudden passing of Wynne Carlson, on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the age of 92.

Wynne was so proud to have been a registered nurse over many years and she was one of the first Nurse Practitioners in Calgary. She spent many years working at the General Hospital in the Family Practice Unit. She attained the RCLSS Medal of Distinction, which was presented to her by Premier Ernest Manning. In addition to her love of nursing, she loved swimming. Wynne spent many hours swimming at the Calgary Winter Club, where she had a wide circle of friends. Her memory lives on in the lives of all who loved her and called her Friend.

Beloved wife and mom, Wynne is survived by her daughters Sherri (Roger) Stewart, Cindra (Joe) Shemanski, Jill (Rob) Allen, and youngest daughter Lori, who predeceased her in 1994. She was Amma to her grandchildren, Scot (Jessica) Stewart, Jess Stewart, Chris Allen, Nicole (Chad) Malanowich, and Carley (Joe) Caldow; as well as six great-granddaughters, India Stewart Pelster-Wiebe, Alexandra and Cassidy Malanowich, Gemma and Blakely Caldow, and Margot Stewart.

In addition to her husband, Bob, and daughter, Lori, Wynne was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Laura Maynard; her much loved mother and father-in-law, Gunnar and Ethel Carlson; and numerous family and close friends.
