Mary Wright of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the age of 91 years, after a life well-lived.

Mary was born on August 1, 1930 to Pearl and John Gawreliuk in the District of Willingdon, northern Alberta. She was raised with brothers, Steve and John.

Mary valued education, and attended local public school, and high school in Lamont, and business school at Alberta College, Edmonton. She spent her early working years at Imperial Oil and Mobil Oil. Mary married Delbert in 1954, and they shared their love with daughters, Carol and Deanne.

Mary enjoyed her flowers, sewing blankets for the homeless, and always had a helping hand for others; giving generously to many causes and individuals. Mary and Del travelled all over the world together but held a special place in their hearts for time spent in Maui with dear friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and friendship.

Mary is survived by daughters, Carol (Dennis) Arneson of St. Albert and Deanne Wright (Allan Cole) of Toronto, and grandson Keegan  Arneson of St. Albert. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Del Wright in 2010.
