Obituary of Ben Victor Bischke

Ben Bischke, beloved husband, dad, brother, grandad, great-grandad, and friend lost his battle with cancer at the age of 77 years.

Ben was born in Calgary on October 31, 1943 and grew up in the Inglewood area. Ben wore many hats in his career working as a salesman. He sold everything from carpets, insurance, RV’s, vacuums, and beds. He loved talking to people and making sure everyone got the best service and products for their dollar. He loved his darts and pool games, which he played often with family and friends. He was involved in many leagues and always liked to show people the finer skills involved. Ben was also a pilot for many years when he was younger, which he fondly loved. Even though he gave it up to pursue other activities with his family, he loved having the chance to get back in the pilot’s seat with his daughter as a gift to him. He will be fondly remembered by his camping family at Westward Ho Campground, which was a second home to him. Ben loved his animals too and all his fur kids will miss their play buddy.

Ben is survived by his wife Lynne, who he married on October 19, 1982; and his children and their partners, Dawn and Chris, Diane and Brad, Keri and Darrin, and John. He is also survived by his grandchildren and their partners, Richard, Ben and Lindsay; Jennifer and Ryan, Chefawn, Dylan, Kadin, Samson, Koral, Jazzie and Rory; and Nathyne, as well as ten great-grandchildren.
