Obituary of Marcus Anthony Boulanger

November 27, 1959 – Edmonton, Alberta

October 19, 2021– Calgary, Alberta

Marcus (Marc) Anthony Boulanger, beloved husband of Barbara Boulanger (nee Rempel), of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the age of 61 years.

Marc was born in Edmonton, AB but grew up in Calgary, AB.

Marc graduated from Bishop Grandin High School, University of Calgary, SAIT, and ultimately trained to become a Master Porsche Technician.

Marc lived and loved with passion, cars, horses and all his family. Cars were his first love, from the time he was born he needed the hum of an engine to lull him to sleep. He built that passion into his life’s work in his business ‘Alpine Autowerks’ where he specialized in the finest sports cars, primarily Porsche. Under his patient tutelage, his two sons trained as mechanics, and both continue to work with cars. Later, it was his daughter Melissa that led him to discover his second true joy, as a horseman. He swapped focus from engine horsepower to real horsepower. Atop his beloved mare Lalique, he relished the speed, adrenaline, and camaraderie of the fox hunt.

Besides his loving wife, Marc is survived by his daughter, Melissa Boulanger of Calgary, AB; two sons, Michael Boulanger and Mathieu Boulanger both of Calgary, AB.

Marc is also survived by his parents, John and Clare Boulanger of Calgary, AB, his three younger siblings and their spouses, Pierrette Beaton of Kamloops, BC, Chris Boulanger of Calgary, AB, and Jennifer Lacey of St. Paul, MN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
