Condolences
We all sort of grew up together, and we are terribly saddened at the loss of this gentle, funny, amazing man. So sorry for the loss.
Brad and Sue Girling
Barney and I shared many life adventures through our teens through to our early thirties. My favourite memory was our trip to Mexico with other friends where we stayed in a native hut in the jungle by a fishing village called Yelapa. No electricity , no cars or roads. It was a great adventure with ocean fishing, swimming, eating in a little restaurant on the beach. I will miss Barney and my condolences to his friends and family
It brings such saddness to hear of Barney's passing, a near lifelong friend. I have known Barney since very young and for many years he felt like a brother. I am very grateful to have been able to spend the many events over the years with Barney and enjoy his infectious smile, laugh and positive outlook on life. It is with heartache I did not get to say bye!
Although I can not attend in person, I will online.
My deepest condolences to all family and friends. Hugs to All!
Rest in Peace Barney!
We are very sorry and saddened to hear of your loss, to all family and friends.
Memories of Barney for me, he was a kind man and always ready to lasso a bunch of us friends, head on out for a drive to Cochrane to spend our afternoons at the ranch riding horses and sitting by the ponds drinking a beer. God love you Barney.
Cheers to the good young days! In our hearts remembering.

We are sorry to hear that Barney has passed. I did not know I had cousins in Calgary and area until 2013 and the first one I met was Barney. He was friendly and welcoming to me and my wife Ellen and helped me to meet with the rest of his siblings: Mary Lou, John, and Bob. We all met on several occasions and I appreciated Barney for being the one who did the introductions. A good man and enjoyable friend, with interests in common, he will be missed by us.
Our sympathies to his immediate family, his extended family, and his cousins as well. RIP Barney.
Unfortunately we send regrets that we cannot attend his Celebration of Life since we are residing in Arizona for the winter.
Regards,
Patrick D. Sears
My condolences for Barney's family at this difficult time - he was a great guy! R.I.P Barney.
Barney. Awe... just really sad to hear we lost such a good good good man and great friend. A true optimist. He was the guy always willing to horseback ride, camp, fish, muck about in trucks, party, attend concerts, party, care, share, party, did I say party? I will always remember his contagious smile, his genuine love for all his buddies and his level head. The perma smile, in his hat of choice, in a jean jacket and cigarette in hand. Will miss ya Barney..... Kimberly

So sad to hear of Barney’s passing. I remember him, always with a smile. He was very special to Nancy & Bob and I know they will miss him. Our most sincere condolences to his whole family. Thinking of you all at this difficult time!
RIP Barney
Its been a while since I saw you last (thinking it was our wedding)
I remember many many good times.
Never ever saw Barney angry!
Asked him once to help me build a headboard and he shows up with a truck load of tools, gizmos and clamps and didn’t charge me a bit.
He was an awesome guy!!

Barney sad to hear you departed so soon. I remember in the early 70’s, you, Wayne & Lee competing for the best Mustang bike. Wish I had a photo of you 3 Amigos. You always will be remembered as kind, loving, giving with an excellent sense of humour & spirit. RIP
